X Ambassadors have been a conspiratorial band of brothers and friends from the beginning, now playing together for nearly a decade and a half. The two Harris brothers - vocalist Sam and keyboardist Casey - drummer Adam Levin and touring member Russ Flynn, who has been replacing original guitarist Noah Feldshuh for some time, continue to electrify their fans with their music that brings genres and generations together. Their debut record has since gone platinum, and their early hits "Jungle," "Unsteady" and "Renegades" have long since become anthems and have been streamed billions of times. Their latest record, "The Beautiful Liar" from 2021, on the other hand, has a completely different approach: the concept album about a blind girl whose shadow is brought to life is not only a rich teaching piece on topics such as powerlessness and self-empowerment, fear and courage, doubt and affirmation. It is incidentally structured like a radio play set in a world all its own. Or as Sam put it, "We created a space where we could all be as ugly, weird, funny and crazy as we wanted." Whereby the pair of brothers paid homage to the beloved radio stories of their youth, using some of their biography as inspiration. After all, Sam himself has been blind since birth. Maybe that's also one of the band's little secrets: being conspiratorial because they have so much in common with each other, which is why they can always fully trust each other. That's why Sam can throw himself into the tracks with his parade voice. He knows exactly that there will always be the music that catches and supports his soulful figures and anthemic singalongs. At the moment the guys from Brooklyn are working on new material. The first singles have already been released this year, most recently a few days ago the latest song "Devastation" together with Pamé, and in February X Ambassadors will come on tour in Germany.presented by MTV and MusikBlog.de -
