Yenga

YENGA is a German-Dutch avant-pop/indie band from Bochum and Amsterdam that finds its inspiration in ambient and psychedelic music. Open pop structures and energetic improvisations form the core of the band alongside songwriter Stella Polaris.

YENGA has existed since 2015 and performs mainly in Germany, but also in the Netherlands. In May 2024, the band released their studio album entitled I Think This Escalator Is Working Against Me. As part of the release concert, the musicians worked closely with the duo scheinzeitmenschen. In cooperation, they merged a light sculpture with a concert, which premiered on May 18, 2024 in the Oval Office at Schauspielhaus Bochum.
