#yodo Kiezworkshop: encountering dying, death, grief & care work (STTS) artistically

On Thursday, May 28, #yodo - you only die once invites you to a special writing workshop in the rooms of "Ab unter die Erde" in Pankow.

This artistically accompanied format is about dying, death, grief and care work - topics that are part of all our lives and yet are often given little space. We approach personal stories, relationships, memories and unanswered questions through conversation, genogram work and creative writing.

After arriving together, there will be a short introduction to genogram and sociogram work. In teams of two, we will create personal relationship pictures of family, friends and other important people. This is followed by a writing exercise that takes participants deeper into their own history. At the end, the participants hold their own text, story or letter in their hands.

The workshop is aimed at people who want to approach these often repressed topics in a mindful, open and creative atmosphere. No previous writing or artistic experience is required.

#yodo is not a therapy program or a grief group, but an artistic space for sharing, writing, listening and a gentle approach. Breaks, retreats and quiet moments are possible at any time.

"#yodo - you only die once" is an artistic project by Michi Maxi Schulz. Since 2017, she has been developing formats that bring people closer to the topics of dying, death, grief and care work in a low-threshold way. Her experience as a volunteer death and grief counselor and her artistic work as an actress, improviser, performer and dancer create spaces for encounters, exchange and creative debate.
