Biographical breaks, breaks between times, places, genres - In the 10th century, the Japanese court lady Sei Shōnagon wrote her famous 'pillow book' full of reflections on nature, which inspired the composer Malika Kishino (*1971) to write the composition 'Snow, Moon, Wind and Flowers'. This work was especially dedicated to the violinist Midori Seiler, who comes from a German-Japanese family. Seiler juxtaposes her interpretation with fantasies for violin by Georg Philipp Telemann, and recites passages from Sei Shōnagon's original text. She is staged by director and writer Dominique de Rivaz and lighting artist Dominique Dardant.
