In the organizer's words:

We invite everyone who would like to draw or learn to draw together to our drawing circle. Led by artists from Leipzig and the surrounding area, the circle enables an open exchange about the medium of drawing. Various techniques will be tried out: Sometimes closer to the traditional concept of drawing, sometimes further away from it. As a rule, the artistic direction of the drawing circle changes every eight weeks.

From May to July, our drawing circle will be led by Leipzig painter Martin Schuster. The focus will be on working with three-dimensional models made of plasticine. Starting from the game, you will create a picture idea and composition and think about the use of light, form, color and volume. The second step is to draw what you have previously modeled. This opens up a wide spectrum between figuration and abstraction, inviting you to find and pursue individual solutions. It is a good idea to bring along your own objects and motifs and incorporate them into this process.

Martin Schuster is a freelance artist living in Leipzig. He studied painting at Burg Giebichenstein in Halle (Saale), the University of Fine Arts in Hanoi (Vietnam) and completed postgraduate studies in Thomas Rug's graphics class at Burg Giebichenstein.
