Are we living in a simulation? In his new solo, media artist, director, lecture performer and nerd Arne Vogelgesang travels through the history of simulation with droll wit. Always interested in how people deal with digital media phenomena, he wanders through worlds of oracles, digital doubles, experimental systems and training devices. Having arrived in our present, everything seems to be simulatable: the movements of elementary particles and planets, global weather systems, language, traffic flows, purchasing behavior, material fatigue, sleep patterns and war in all its forms. In this way, he comes up against the current form of an old skepticism about the status of reality. And where better to answer this question of reality or simulation, of appearance or reality, than in the theater!
