AI, Human Dignity, and the “Atrophy of the Heart”
Artificial intelligence is transforming our world at a rapid pace. But what does this development mean for our understanding of what it means to be human? In his encyclical*Magnifica humanitas*, Pope Leo XIVaskswhat we must not lose in an increasingly technologized world.
The evening will focus on human dignity, our limitations and vulnerability, and the question of what distinguishes human beings beyond performance, efficiency, and technical feasibility.
Together with social ethicist Prof. Dr. Dr. Elmar Nass, we would like to engage in a conversation about the opportunities and limitations of artificial intelligence and discuss the significance of humanity, conscience, and responsibility in a digital future.
Questions and comments from the audience are expressly welcome.
This event is aimed at students, apprentices, high school students, and young people under the age of 30.
