ART CULTURE CONCRETE

The Bilker Bunker in Düsseldorf is a non-profit cultural institution that promotes social exchange through art and culture. As a former air raid shelter, it combines history with the living present and offers space for a varied, experimental program on several floors. Its offerings are aimed at a broad audience - from art and music lovers to young creatives to the neighborhood and anyone interested in innovative cultural experiences.

One focus is on contemporary art: changing formats are shown on two floors - from paintings, sculptures and photography to immersive installations and works by renowned artists. The Bunker sees itself as a platform for experimental approaches and current positions in art. In the basement, the Schleuse Zwei music bar complements the program. Inspired by Japanese listening bars, it offers excellent sound quality, a curated music program with DJ sets, concerts and live performances - a permanent meeting place for Düsseldorf's music scene.

In addition to art and music, the bunker also offers space for music, workshops, sports and other creative projects on a total of seven floors. Since its opening in summer 2023, the Bilker Bunker has developed into a dynamic center that enriches cultural life in Düsseldorf with changing exhibitions, artist talks, performances and bar evenings and makes an important contribution to the cultural diversity of the city.

We will continue from March 12 with the vernissage of our upcoming exhibition "The Scene" with works by Gregor Guski and other artists.
