Anyone who has always wondered how the Frankfurt music club "Das BETT" (now "bett") got its unconventional name is reminded of its origins: from September 2005, Das Bett in Sachsenhausen's Klappergasse welcomed up to 80 visitors in a cozy and informal atmosphere. Many of the artists from all over the world that Das Bett, with its extraordinary flair for music and the spirit of the times, was able to win over for a show spent the night on the upper floor of the BETT after their performance. With a musical program far removed from the mainstream, which encompassed every conceivable style of music from cheerful electropop to wild garage rock and offered a stage to both established underground greats and up-and-coming bands, Das BETT soon became one of Frankfurt's most important cultural institutions.
