FRÜH "Em Veedel"

FRÜH "Em Veedel" - one of Cologne's oldest pubs - is located in the heart of Cologne's Südstadt district, right next to Chlodwigplatz and Severinstorburg Castle. Once a distillery, it was taken over by Cölner Hofbräu FRÜH in 1979 and still has many loyal visitors today as a "pub in the Cologne milljö". People from all walks of life and of all ages meet here for a drink over a freshly tapped Kölsch beer. In the rooms of the former "Brennerei A. Hermann", pensioners used to meet early in the morning to start the day with a schnapps. This is why the people of Cologne still affectionately call the pub "Invalidendom" today. The historic distillery is a reminder of the pub's original use as a distillery. The food is strong, hearty and typically Kölsch. In addition to delicious dishes from the iron pan, there are fresh potato pancakes and much more. In the adjoining FRÜH store, you can always get fresh, chilled FRÜH Kölsch to take home - in kegs, cans or bottles as well as accessories.
