The Käthe Kollwitz Museum Cologne is to become greener! Due to the necessary energetic construction measures, the exhibition rooms will be temporarily closed. Nevertheless, we are still there for you!

In the meantime, we look forward to your visit in our ROOM FOR NEW on the first floor of the Neumarkt Passage. Here we will gradually present what we are working on behind the scenes during the closure. Experience Käthe Kollwitz! is the motto under which we will present the collection exhibition in a new way in the future: from a virtual studio of the artist to analog and digital background information on the life and work of Käthe Kollwitz to interactive offers that allow you to understand her artistic techniques.

Our museum store and a small Kollwitz library are also open. In addition, a workshop area invites visitors to work independently at any time. Newly developed creative instructions always focus on other techniques and introduce children, young people and adults, for example, to charcoal drawing, printing techniques or sculptural work. The art educators also organize workshops and vacation programs. In addition, talks, readings and guided tours take place, including a city walk on the theme of "Käthe Kollwitz in Cologne.
