Kinder- und Jugendbuchladen Leseland

In the location's words:

The children's and youth bookshop Leseland is a small bookshop with new and second-hand books for children and young people and some second-hand books for adults.

Our team organizes several readings a week: for example, on Friday afternoons we read picture books to children and show the illustrations as a children's book cinema. (16h)

Once a month we read scary stories by candlelight in the evening in our store (for children aged 9 and over).
For kindergartens and children's groups we read picture books with picture book cinema in the mornings, outside opening hours (once or twice a week).

From time to time there is an evening event with a lecture in our bookshop (we are currently preparing a lecture on the depiction of National Socialism and the Holocaust in books for children and young people).

Of course we order every book, (almost always) for the next opening day.
