The JTF is neither a traditional municipal theater nor can it be compared to private cabaret venues. With its unique structure, it fits in well with Forchheim and offers its audience a wide-ranging program. The JTF is a venue for touring cabaret acts, hosts a variety of its own amateur theater groups, and simultaneously supports the local cultural scene.

These events are an essential component of the cultural offerings in and around Forchheim, which has led to the term “basic cultural provider.” In addition, the JTF plays a crucial role as a partner in various regional cultural projects organized by different entities.

In terms of numbers, guest performances from all areas of cabaret and music predominate. Equally important for local culture, of course, are the various in-house productions and collaborations with schools, clubs, and local initiatives that use the JTF as a stage and partner.
