We, the Children's and Youth Literature Center jugendstil nrw (sponsor: Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft Jugend und Literatur NRW e.V.), have been active in promoting reading throughout the state for many years and have a special focus on engaging with literature:

Experiencing literature is appropriating the world!

Our literary education projects are designed to encourage children and young people to develop their own expressiveness, imagination and creativity through a productive and independent approach to language as a cultural asset. The focus is always on engaging with other cultures in the sense of intercultural work.

Since 2017, the focus of major projects has increasingly been on outreach literature education, in which books and stories are brought into public spaces.
