THOMANN Künstler Management
In the page's words:
Joseph “Johnny” Thomann is the founder and, since 1972, managing director of Thomann Künstler Management GmbH. He is a man who, despite the turbulence of the music industry, never loses sight of his own identity and knows how to turn seemingly unattainable dreams into reality through ambition and tenacity.
Business acumen, interpersonal skills, and a deep love for his friends, his family, and his hometown of Burgebrach are the keys to Joseph Thomann’s success. Since his early days in the entertainment industry, he has always looked beyond the proverbial “end of his own nose.” In addition to his work as a manager for artists and events, his path took him from an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk, through evening school where he earned a degree in business administration, to a position as a tax clerk at the tax office.
After earning his high school diploma through adult education and studying social pedagogy, he went on to complete his degree in elementary school teaching with a state examination. In addition, he is a volunteer member of the examination board at the Bamberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), a lay judge at the Bamberg District Court, and a professional guardian appointed by the guardianship court. From the interplay of these vastly different activities and interests, as well as his belief in Christian values, Joseph Thomann draws the energy—and, not least, the joy—to continue advancing the company Thomann Künstler Management GmbH.
