IT'S TIME FOR CIRCUS!

It's that time again: focusing on the weekend of November 14 to 16, 2025, the ZEIT FÜR ZIRKUS festival will present contemporary circus at its best at over 35 venues in 19 German cities: diverse, exciting, touching, inclusive, with shows and events, exhibitions and workshops to coincide with the international La Nuit du Cirque. Around 10,000 visitors are expected this year at the largest concentration of simultaneous circus events in Germany.

Contemporary circus has the artistic potential to bring even unwieldy topics to the center of society and to negotiate them publicly, playfully and intensively. Therefore, new and prominent at the festival and of course also live: the discourse program ZEIT ZUM REDEN.

Discussions, encounters and exchanges between circus performers and the audience, with politicians and those responsible for culture, are jointly organized by the coordinating Bundesverband Zeitgenössischer Zirkus (BUZZ) and seven supra-regional organizers, the Chamäleon Theater Berlin, the Societaetstheater Dresden, the LOFFT - DAS THEATER in Leipzig, the Prinz Regent Theater in Bochum, the Verein Atemzug e.V. in Cologne, the Tollhaus in Karlsruhe and the Verein Munich Circus Arts.
