GAST

In the artist's words:

GAST is a two-piece post-punk band from Tübingen. They adorn offbeat arrangements with analog new-wave sounds of antiquarian electronics, choral walls of sound and thoughtful German lyrics: painful and honest, they are the common thread of a continuous concept that turns a GAST show into a journey. All after that: Dancing while you cry.
The band is Tim and Linus. All ideas, lyrics and productions are directed by the two of them, mostly within their own four walls, isolated from the world. Based on the sounds of analog drum machines and synthesizers from the 80s, they capture the modernity of their generation and hit exactly where it hurts. Powerful and honest, GAST songs deal with the powerlessness, toxicity and passion of a relationship, be it with the lyrical you or with oneself.
Following the huge success of their debut single "fallen", GAST released their self-titled EP in November 2022. GAST released their second EP "kaputt gehen" in September 2023 in the guise of an elaborate release campaign, in which the release show became an artistic boxing performance. In this EP, GAST showcase their entire musical spectrum, from technoid beats to indie guitars, proving that they fit into more than just one genre.
The duo already performed on the showcase stages of the Reeperbahn and Kiezkultur festivals in fall 2023, as well as in front of sold-out audiences at headline shows. In October/November 2024, GAST will go on their first own tour!
