1000 RABBITSis an off-kilter art-pop picnic that tells stories through human sounds, both intimate and extroverted. Grounded by a playful bass synthesizer, expressive vocal lines weave through a colorful tapestry of violin, guitar, and drums, creating something immediate and immersive: rhythm-driven, emotionally raw, and built for bodies in motion. Comprising Laura (violin), Liv (synthesizer), Paolo (guitar), River (vocals), and Luke (drums), the five-piece cut their teeth at London’s independent venues, becoming regulars at The Windmill in Brixton, where their high-energy performances earned them a reputation as local “powerhouses”

LANDE HEKT hasquietly become one of the UK’s best underground songwriters. On her 2021 debut full-length album *Going To Hell* and 2022’s *House Without a View*, she explored her queer identity, sobriety, and childhood trauma through the lens of heartfelt, conversational indie-pop, which led to opportunities to open for acts such as Alvvays, Throwing Muses, and The Beths. Her new album *Lucky Now*, written and recorded with producer Matthew Simms (Wire, It Hugs Back), showcases the most mature and confident version of Lande Hekt to date. “I’m not as concerned about how I’m presenting myself,” Hekt says. “I’ve tried to think less about how things come across, and just write songs that make me feel connected to myself and what I value.”#

Hekt’s musical influences—The Wedding Present, The Sundays, The Replacements—remain the same, but at the same time she’s delved deeper into other influences. Lucky Now draws on 1980s twee-pop and jangle-pop acts like The Pastels, Tallulah Gosh, and The Bats, as well as more modern interpretations of the sound, such as Autocamper and Jeanines, with its ecstatic, soaring melodies and gorgeous, tactile guitar work.
