15 Years Gretchen: Joshua Idehen

In the organizer's words:

Joshua Idehen *live*

Joshua Idehen is a British-Nigerian spoken word artist and musician based in Stockholm who fuses poetry and club culture. His shows are no ordinary concerts - they are rituals between dance floor and devotion, a kind of non-religious mass in which reflection and exuberance are mutually dependent. You dance while you think about his words, and think while you are already dancing.

His explosive creativity and that unmistakably poignant voice have made Joshua a permanent fixture on the British jazz and electronic scene. What makes his music so special is that rare balance: between speaking and silence, between bass and meaning. He uses the energy of the dancefloor to create community - in his shows he invites the audience to look each other in the eye, to embrace, to let go. The results are evenings that seem like celebrations, but resonate like conversations.

Joshua Idehen's sound is more than just music - it is a form of spirituality in motion. Words become beats, beats become messages, and somewhere in between something emerges that cannot be captured in genres. An invitation to feel, think and dance.
