The iconic ROCKFABRIK club is celebrating its 40th anniversary in Augsburg on Saturday, August 22, 2026, and its third year at its new location with a concert by the iconic rock & metal cover band LABEL Z, plus plenty of special events across two dance floors and a fantastic outdoor area! The outdoor festivities kick off at 9:00 PM with music from Rofa veteran DJ EDDY from Ludwigsburg, who—after LABEL Z’s concert in the Basement Club—will also be spinning his rock and metal classic hits starting at midnight one floor down! Augsburg legend DJ NT, together with ROFA mastermind Punky, will be spinning tracks on the main floor—from pop across all decades to alternative rock, indie, nu-metal, and gothic & wave! Outdoors, in addition to the covered dance floor, there’s also a neighboring garden with the Desperados Lounge, a bonfire, and street food. Admission, including the concert, is just €10, and happy hour prices apply to most drinks until midnight! Plus, there are drink specials all night long!

Happy Birthday, ROCKFABRIK! Augsburg’s most legendary club turns 40!

A club that has made history—not just in Augsburg, but far beyond. The Rockfabrik, affectionately known as “ROFA,” has long been a cult institution and is now an integral part of the German club scene. Once linked to a sister club in Ludwigsburg, it remains to this day a musical beacon for anyone who wants more than just the usual mainstream fare. Although “Rock” is in the name, the ROFA has always been so much more: a musical home without genre boundaries, where “old-school metalheads” mingle with “queer free spirits” and “manga fans” mix with “old-school goths” on the dance floor. Diversity is lived out here—musically, stylistically, and personally. While much of Augsburg’s nightlife indulges in run-of-the-mill pop, ROFA remains a bastion of subculture and the underground. Those who party here aren’t looking for chart-toppers, but for character. And the ROFA has always had plenty of that: Hulk Hogan challenged people to wrestling matches here, Lemmy from Motörhead and Metallica stopped by for a drink after concerts, and Volbeat as well as Die Fantastischen Vier played club shows here before they went on to fill large venues. The move in September 2023 brought a breath of fresh air—but the legendary spirit remained intact! The new location boasts a second full-fledged basement floor and a spacious, partially covered outdoor area that makes the party experience even more versatile. And now it’s time to party! On Saturday, August 22, 256, the big Rockfabrik 40th-anniversary party kicks off! Across two floors, with a live concert, longtime DJs, specials, surprises, and plenty of excitement. Their set is packed with old classics, modern hit songs, rarely covered metal and rock gems, and even the occasional ballad or acoustic number.
