The Strauss cycle continues in the 5th Academy Concert on February 17 and 18, 2025: his symphonic poem Death and Transfiguration marks the climax of a journey through late Romanticism, which is joined by excerpts from Wagner's Tristan and Bartók's Viola Concerto. The soloist is the exceptional violist Tabea Zimmermann.
