»Abschied leben« Ein Abend mit Gabriele von Arnim

Every day we say goodbye: to certainties, phases of life, illusions, people - sometimes consciously, sometimes unconsciously. In her new book "Abschied leben" (Rowohlt), journalist and author Gabriele von Arnim ("Das Leben ist ein vorübergehender Zustand", "Der Trost der Schönheit") writes about losses and transitions, about the impositions of the present and the art of withstanding one's own vulnerability. She combines personal experience with social observation and existential reflection to create a "poetic and life-smart essay" (Die Zeit) and talks about why there can also be comfort in letting go.
