Muslim political scientist Saba-Nur Cheema and Israeli historian Meron Mendel are among the most prominent voices in sociopolitical discourse. In their new joint book, *The Trap of Outrage* (Kiepenheuer & Witsch), they examine how a democratic culture of debate can succeed—one that does not smooth over differences but rather endures them.
