On Thursday, June 12, 2025, Nina Ogot from Kenya returns to the Orangerie Theater Cologne for another extraordinary concert. Together with musicians from five countries and two continents, she will take the audience on a musical journey - from India to Kenya to West Africa.

NINA OGOT
Singer, songwriter, guitarist and bandleader - Nina Ogot comes from the Kenyan capital Nairobi. Her songs reflect her Luo roots and the cultural diversity of other Kenyan ethnic groups. The influence of western soundscapes creates a unique, contemporary sound that embodies modern, traditional and cosmopolitan Kenya.
In 2022, Nina was awarded the Kalasha Award for Best Original Music. She has already performed on numerous international stages, including the Africa Festival Würzburg, the Chiala Festival in Austria, the Afro-Asia Festival in Kerala, India, and the Moshito Festival in Johannesburg.
Her latest album Ukumbu.ke was released in 2024. In November 2025, she will go on tour again with her band.

Naim Khan
Eighth-generation tabla player from a renowned Indian family of musicians. He has performed with greats such as Ustad Sultan Khan, Ustad Niyaz Ahmed Khan and Raja Hassan.
Yavuz Duman
A musical bridge builder between oriental improvisation and jazz. He has played with Okay Temiz, Erkan Ogur and Peter Sonntag, among others, and is also part of the Transorient Orchestra.
