In September 1994, the first self-managed studio community of professional
working artists was founded at the emerging
Kunst- und Gewerbehof, Deutz-Mülheimer-Straße as
"Kunstetage Deutz" in building 8.
In the following years, they developed the premises
according to their requirements independently and without
public funding; likewise, their
rents are without municipal subsidies.

In 2015, the studio community
schaft, Kunstetage Deutz" organized itself from then on as a non-profit
association and renamed itself "Kunstetage Köln e.V.".

The "Kunstetage Köln e.V." sees itself as a community
of artists from all areas of the visual
arts.

22 artists currently have a studio space in
the rooms of "Kunstetage Köln e.V.".
