ALTERNATIVE 90s
In the organizer's words:
90s parties are now a dime a dozen. The Spice Girls, floral prints, Captain Jack, and Gigi D’Agostino… it feels like every weekend, some club or disco somewhere is blasting these generic sounds.
But the ’90s had so much more to offer. Especially in the genres of alternative rock, hip hop, metal, punk rock, and even electro, there were countless bands and artists who had a major impact on the decade and their youth—and who still attract a large following today.
We want to celebrate the ’90s beyond the charts and one-hit wonders! The energy of The Prodigy, Rage Against the Machine, and Skunk Anansie; the catchy sounds of Generation X brought to us by Nirvana and Pearl Jam; and, of course, the groove of Cypress Hill, the Beastie Boys, and the legendary Red Hot Chili Peppers, along with many others.
Rage Against the Machine, Nirvana, Cypress Hill, The Prodigy, Pearl Jam, Sublime, Kyuss, Pantera, Wu-Tang Clan, The Chemical Brothers, Faith No More, Korn, Guano Apes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jamiroquai, Radiohead, Life of Agony, Biohazard, Beastie Boys, Placebo, Weezer, Busta Rhymes, Incubus, The Pharcyde, Tool, At the Drive-In, Skunk Anansie, Body Count, Moloko, The Offspring, Nine Inch Nails, House of Pain, System of a Down, Limp Bizkit, Metallica, Fatboy Slim, Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World, Boysetsfire, Snoop Dogg, Green Day, Danzig, Bush, Refused, Sepultura, Aphex Twin, De La Soul, Deftones, Alice in Chains, N.W.A., Machine Head, Fear Factory, Silverchair, A Tribe Called Quest, Dog Eat Dog, Marilyn Manson, Helmet, KRS-One, Clutch, Ministry, Downset, Blur, H-Blockx, Therapy?, Muse, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Snot, Type O Negative, Soundgarden, Ignite, Prong, White Zombie, Sick Of It All, Public Enemy, Slayer, ...
