"Anna und Oma"- eine Filmvorführung mit anschließendem Gespräch
In the organizer's words:
In the film "Anna and Grandma", 25-year-old computer science student Anna immerses herself in the life of her grandmother, 73-year-old photographer Ingrid, who runs a private gallery with her husband in the GDR, is expelled as an enemy of the state in 1983, finds a new home in Cologne, returns and continues to critically examine both worlds to this day.
It is also about the conflict between old and young, East and West. A politically topical subject in times when the rifts in an increasingly divided society are deepening. Director Ellen Rudnitzki from the film production company Agir Media has succeeded in making an astonishing film that illustrates the charming and exciting contrasts between two different political systems using black and white and color photography. Here she is director, screenwriter and editor in one person, with the mini-budget of crowdfunding financing.
This is NICO's third collaboration with photographer Ingrid Bahß, preceded by two exhibitions in 2023 and 2025.
Following the film, all participants are invited to a discussion. Ellen Rudnitzki, as well as the photographer, Daniel Kothenschulte, film critic and curator and Prof. Dr. Bockenheimer from the Faculty of Political Philosophy for a discussion.
And there will be some snacks from NICO!
Look forward to an exciting evening! Free admission, admission from 18.30, in cooperation with the Bürgerzentrum Nippes
