There are many reasons to celebrate. After a break due to illness, Anne Clark returned to selected German stages in Berlin (Passionskirche) and Hamburg (Elphie) for the first time in summer 2022 - the audience and artist were moved to tears. And after 12 years, Anne Clark will return to Oldenburg for the first time in late summer 2025 - at the Kulturetage live with a band!

Anne Clark is undoubtedly an icon of music history. As a pioneer of spoken word art, new wave and electronic music, the Anglo-Irish artist has influenced generations of artists. Her experimental sound and characteristic lyrical spoken word vocals have made her and her work immortal. "Our Darkness" and "Sleeper in Metropolis" are representative of her great success.

Anne Clark started her career in the late 70s, influenced by the punk scene. Her first album "The Sitting Room" was released in 1982, followed by records such as "Changing Places" and "Just After Sunset - The Poetry of Rainer Maria Rilke" in 1998. After the turn of the century, "The Smallest Acts of Kindness" was released in 2008 and "Homage - The Silence Inside" in 2018. Over the years, she has constantly changed her style and collaborated with many musicians in her band. Since 2018, the film "I'll Walk Out Into Tomorrow" has provided deep insights into her biography and her work.

Anne Clark has been inspiring audiences for decades with solid poetry, existential lyrics and acoustic experiments - with energy, depth and virtuosity that is second to none.
