In the lecture, we will discuss the specific mechanisms and functions of different forms of anti-Muslim racism. Where does anti-Muslim racism originate and what is the relationship between the terms "Islamcriticism", "Islamophobia", "Islamophobia", "Muslimophobia" etc., which are often used synonymously?
Anti-Muslim racism not only affects people of the Muslim faith, but also people who are read as such. Racism expresses itself in different ways.
The lecture aims to give participants the opportunity to get to know the forms and mechanisms of anti-Muslim racism on an interpersonal, institutional and structural level, as well as to offer ways and options for action to counteract these mechanisms theoretically and practically.
