Árstíðir auf "Vetrarsól" Tour 2024

Icelandic folk band Árstíðir are going on tour with their first a cappella album "Vetrarsól - Voices of the Winter Sun". On 12.12.2024 the band will be guests at Helios37 in Cologne.

The album "Vetrarsól - Voices of the Winter Sun" will be released on November 8, 2024 and was recorded this year in the band's studio in Reykjavík, Iceland.

The band became internationally known in 2013 when a video of their spontaneous performance of the song "Heyr himna smiður" - the oldest known Nordic hymn - went viral on the internet.

Anyone attending the Vetrarsól concerts in December can look forward to a sonic journey through traditional Icelandic music and the band's own folk-inspired songs. As this year's "Vetrarsól" tour will also be a release tour for the new a cappella album, the audience can expect an extra dose of choral singing.
