aufbrechen-ankommen: Lesung mit Anne Weber, "Bannmeilen" & Esther Ernst

The terms "departure" and "arrival" are understood geographically as well as symbolically for life changes, they are linked to courage, hope and security as well as wishes and fears. In the "Uncertain Maps" exhibition, the events in this series each bring together an author and an artist who deal with the topic in different but very comparable ways.
In her novel "Bannmeilen", Anne Weber sends her protagonist on forays through the periphery of Paris and describes a very special experience of the city.
Anne Weber moved to Paris in 1983, where she still lives today. She received the German Book Prize in 2020 for her epic poem "Annette".
The artist Esther Ernst processes her life in her Berlin neighborhood and on her travels in complex drawings, which she enriches with material from maps and literature.
