We are delighted to be organizing the first One-Day Choir in Augsburg.

WHAT IS A ONE-DAY CHOIR?

A One-Day Choir is an opportunity to be part of a choir for a single day - celebrating singing and the unifying power of harmony. It is an opportunity to build community, make new friends and unite our diverse voices into a common sound.

All are welcome. No previous experience. No concert. No perfection.

Just sing together in a room with people in harmony and create something greater!

Whether you have been singing in vocal ensembles for many years or are singing in a group for the first time, you are welcome here. All levels of experience are valuable and will be considered.

OUR SONG THIS TIME

This time it will be honest, direct and pretty close. We're singing "Under The Bridge" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. A song that makes you think and can trigger something in us.

It's about this feeling of loneliness, about moments when you somehow feel lost - and at the same time about the longing to belong somewhere. The song is vulnerable, but that is precisely where its strength lies.

We want to create a space for these feelings. No pressure, no big drama - just sing honestly and see what emerges.

We start very simply, get to know each other, listen to each other and start singing together. And then the song grows slowly, almost imperceptibly. Voice after voice is added until something emerges that we could not have created on our own.

We listen to each other and take the time to let the song breathe. Then at some point this moment arises in which everything comes together - not perfectly, but genuinely. We become a choir with a shared feeling of "I belong here today".

The One-Day Choir is led by Annika Pamina Leinauer, who has prepared an easily accessible yet effective arrangement. Without any pressure to perform, but with a lot of joy in singing together, a musical experience is created in a short time that connects and lingers for a long time.

Everyone is welcome - no previous knowledge necessary. Just come, sing along and become part of the sound.

REHEARSE THE SONG

Sheet music and vocal recordings for the individual parts will be available as learning material before the event. If you have the time and inclination, please take a look and listen to the voices and the original so that we can work musically on the day. It's not at all necessary to know everything by heart (and you definitely don't have to memorize the song!), but the more confident we are with our parts, the more fun we can have together!

LED AND GUIDED BY:

This session will be led by our choir director Annika Pamina Leinauer !

Annika Pamina Leinauer (she/her) is a singer, choir director and music teacher. Born in Augsburg, she studied at the University of Music in Würzburg and has been working as a freelance choir director and singing teacher for many years. She conducts choirs of all ages and brings people with very different levels of previous experience together to sing, from the first note to polyphonic choral sound. She also sings in professional ensembles herself, including the Munich Philharmonic Choir and the chamber choir spect|rum.

In her artistic and pedagogical work, she combines musical standards with a great sense of humor and a large portion of good humor. A particular focus is on voice training and making people feel comfortable with their voice, giving them more confidence and enabling them to surpass themselves.

She is very much looking forward to bringing people together as part of the One Day Choir events, laughing and singing together and creating something in a short space of time that would be impossible to achieve alone.

CANCELLATION & TICKETS
We want as many people as possible to have the chance to be there - places are limited and everyone counts.

Important: Tickets cannot be canceled, refunded or rebooked. They are also non-transferable. We need the proceeds to rent the room and pay our wonderful leaders.

If you can't come after all, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance - then we can pass your place on to the waiting list. A refund is unfortunately not possible.

The One-Day Choir Collective is a creative community of singing people across Germany. Our mission is to create connecting, playful and accessible spaces for making music together - spaces for expression, growth, freedom and letting go through music. Spaces where we explore the healing potential of collective music and improvisation. Spaces where people can express themselves freely - without judgment or expectation - and where we can meet other people as our authentic selves and make new friends.

Everyone is welcome in this community.

We celebrate people of all ages, backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations, religions, physical abilities, social backgrounds, languages and musical levels. All we ask of you is an open mind, a desire to connect - and a willingness to leave any kind of (self-)judgment at the door.

We believe that making music - together with others - is a fundamental human practice. This project creates space for exactly that - especially at a time when such opportunities have become rare.

The One-Day Choir Collective aims to break down the separation between audience and artists and create experiences where we are all part of the musical process. We want to provide a network and platform for people to rediscover themselves musically, connect with each other and unleash their creativity through play and collaboration.
