Austropop statt Burnout
In the organizer's words:
Two entrepreneurs with PhDs. They’ve built companies, weathered setbacks, and celebrated successes. Everything has its time. On the face of it, these are the perfect conditions to sit back and relax. On the face of it.
Instead, Wallner and Hohnhaus take to the streets with their guitars. Because they love music. Because they want to learn the craft. From the ground up. Where people are merciless. Where applause is the exception.
Why would anyone do something like this at 50-plus?
Because nothing brings you to life quite like the spirit of a beginner.
With plenty of wit, self-deprecating humor, and surprising insights, the two talk about successes, missteps, burnout, second chances, and the freedom to start all over again from scratch. They discuss the fear of failure—and why failure might just be our best friend.
In between, they play the biggest Austropop hits and their own songs, which pick up right where the stories leave off. From STS to Danzer, from Ambros to Fendrich, complemented by their own tunes.
Sometimes touching. Sometimes thought-provoking. Often sing-along material. Always with a wink.
“Stage Instead of Burnout”is a musical narrative for everyone who feels there’s still more to come. And for those who sense that the best stories might only begin when you have the courage to become a beginner again.
