BAL FOLK – MITMACHTANZ

Everyone dances along! In pairs, in a circle, in chains, in groups of several people or alone. Live music, fun, joy of movement and socializing in a special atmosphere. This does not sound like a dusty and rigid dance event - it is not. It is BAL FOLK!

In Germany, BAL FOLK is one of the forms of participatory dance evenings that are becoming more and more widespread here. At BAL FOLK, the dances of the French regions are usually danced to live music, with the particular composition of the dance mix depending on what the band is playing. It is not about perfection, but about the joy of dancing - the dance of the day is practiced with everyone at the beginning. Dancing offers a good balance from the daily school, study or work routine.

The dances are suitable for everyone, whether with or without dance experience and without any pressure to compete or perform, as we know it from sports, for example. During the balls, the dance partners are exchanged playfully, so that no one needs a fixed dance partner.
People of different ages, social and geographic-cultural backgrounds come together and dance casually - without any dress code. Everyone is invited to join in!

Instruction: For some dances there will be an instruction between 16 and 17 o'clock. Previous dance experience is not required.

Bring-your-own buffet - everyone is invited to bring some uncomplicated finger food. Drinks will be sold by the Lutherkirche team, as at every event.
