BEYOND BORDERS - Six Degrees of Separation
1 Camera - 41 Destinations - 5 Continents.

Cologne-based artist Ela Mergels presents her current project BEYOND BORDERS to counter the increasing polarization in society.
Her analog camera travels around the world, always with a friend to a local. The friend has the task of photographing what is important to him/her in life. When the camera returns, the film is rewound and loaded a second time for the next trip. In this way, two strangers tell a new story together with the help of double exposures.
