Beyond the Roots feat. Oded Geizhals

The ensembleBeyond the Rootsis dedicated to fostering a vibrant exchange across cultural and musical boundaries. In their original compositions and improvisations, the six musicians develop a multi-aesthetic style that encompasses the entire Eurasian region. Four string instruments and a woodwind instrument from the European, Indian, Persian, and Arab regions engage in an intense dialogue with one another. These are supported by percussion instruments of various origins, which serve as connecting elements. Sitar, santur, and djoze blend with Western clarinet and violin sounds, supported by frame drums, to create a multifaceted soundscape. Beyond the Roots captivates with its powerful, distinctive ensemble sound—always in search of new sonic paths.
