Mira and Simon are sitting on a bench. They share an apple. They speak. Someone leaves. They do so again. And again. Mira goes for a boat ride. Simon stays in the bubble. Silence. And again. Mira and Simon are friends...

This is a play about two people. What happens when we finally face our truth? Maybe we hear a strange sound... Two young artists* from India and Germany meet on a farm in Bengaluru as part of an exchange program. They get to know each other and realize that cultural differences are only one aspect of human connection. They decide to develop something together. But what? The idea for this collaboration began with a conversation about loneliness. Especially about how loneliness is a common factor for young people in all countries. From loneliness to the intricacies of human relationships, two people began an intensive writing process to explore the many facets. This is how "Bhūmikampa - The Earthquake" was born.
