In the organizer's words:
What was the Protestant Church's stance on eugenics, forced sterilization and the murder of the sick? Church historian Prof. Dr. Jochen-Christoph Kaiser and historian Dr. Uwe Kaminsky examine this dark chapter. Using their new source edition of the minutes of the "Expert Committee for Eugenics" from the years 1931-1938, they will analyze the opinion-forming process within the Protestant Church. At the beginning of the evening, Julia Bienholz-Radtke, Deutsches Hygiene-Museum, will present how eugenic topics were also disseminated in the museum's exhibitions and publications.
