The new organ trio around Ali Krause brings a breath of fresh air to the traditional organ trio form: With Frank Kaiser (Git/Voc) and Markus Christ (Drums), a lively, finely balanced sound between groove, jazz and improvisation is created - independent, energetic and full of joy in playing.

The repertoire mixes Frank Kaiser's idiosyncratic, atmospheric compositions - also with vocals - with pieces by Ali Krause that are stylistically reminiscent of modern sound architects such as Robert Glasper and Sam Yahel: urban, modern and harmonically refined and captivating.

The program is complemented by selected jazz standards that appear in a new light.

Kaiser not only sings individual songs, but also accompanies his guitar solos vocally in the style of George Benson - which gives the trio an additional, very personal sound.

Sources of inspiration range from the legendary organ trios of Jimmy Smith or Larry Young to contemporary soulful neo-jazz. The sound always remains organic and danceable (if you like) - with room for spontaneous outbursts and rhythmic finesse.
