Board Game Night

Cities are more than just their visible structures. Behind the streets, buildings, and squares lie past and present stories, communities, networks, and practices that often remain invisible to us.

At the Board Game Night at the Allerweltshaus, these hidden dimensions of urban life will be the focus: Who plans a city? How do cities work? And what might the city of tomorrow look like? 
The event is open to everyone; no prior knowledge or college background is required—just curiosity and a desire to play!

No registration is required, and free admission is available.

Board Game Night is an event taking place as part of the conference “The Invisible Cities” – a.r.t.e.s. forum 2026, organized by doctoral students at the University of Cologne. This year’s focus is on forms of urban invisibility in the past, present, and future. For the first time, the conference will be complemented by a public program of events this year.
