Bilingual reading with music:
The Brazilian Consulate General invites you to the book premiere of the second part of the series "Great Brazilian Authors". Luísa Costa Hölzl, chairwoman of the Brazilian cultural association Lusofonia e.V., will present and read, with musical accompaniment by the Caiana Duo.
The project, conceived and organized by the Brazilian Consulate General in Munich, presents essays by renowned writers and literary critics on works by great Brazilian authors such as Rachel de Queiroz, Carolina Maria de Jesus, Clarice Lispector and Hilda Hilst in new German translations.
During the event, texts from the books will be read and commented on in both languages.
The Caiana Duo consists of Abdallah Harati on the seven-string guitar and João Araújo on the pandeiro and percussion. The two have not only made a name for themselves in the Brazilian cultural scene, they are also known as the initiators of the regular Roda de Choro in Munich.
