"Pfiffige Mädchenmusik" - for several years now, the self-created genre of Dortmund singer/songwriter Swen O. Heiland has stood for good-humored, melodious guitar pop with the occasional heavier nuance. In these five years, the busy cuddly bard has played almost 500 concerts, various compilations and radio airplay throughout Germany, winning the hearts of listeners up and down the country. For some time now, he has had his debut album with him - which, although in English only, is entitled Pfiffige Mädchenmusik. With a wink and a good dose of charm, the resourceful musician presents a colorful mix of tracks from his rich collection. Titles such as the first single release Beautiful or Her Love Makes Me bleed, which are part of the regular repertoire at the numerous concerts, as well as brand new songs á la Little Red Riding Hood or Foolin' Around provide plenty of optimism and joie de vivre.

Live, Swen O. Heiland, who has already released dozens of records with various rock and metal bands over the course of his career and has played half the globe from Siberia to San Francisco and Beijing to Paderborn, performs his songs solo and with minimal instrumentation on guitar, vocals and shaking. "On record" it can also be fully instrumented, with his long-time companion Andreas Bargel on drums for the delicate beat. Stylistically, the songs are broadly diversified - from pop and rock to borrowings from Latin and crossover elements.

The themes of the tracks are as diverse as Lionel Messi's bag of tricks - from the obligatory heartbreak (When You're Leaving) to the discourse on political-ecological issues (Destination Fallout) to a reckoning with the superficial Instagram culture, including an escapist appeal (Fly Away), the songs cover a wide spectrum. The main thing is smart. The Dortmund acoustic troubadour presents new songs as colorful as confetti and embarks on the next chapter of his musical journey.

All concerts are hat concerts, which means that YOU as a guest decide how much you want to put in the hat. There is no rule for this, you alone decide. As a little tip, musicians create their works, rehearse and come to us at the venue! Musicians love "spotlights" but any amount is welcome - just like you!
