OSD After Work: Pinnowation
In the organizer's words:
For anyone who wants to grab a bite to eat and a drink on Thursdays after work while enjoying live music in good company, OSD After Work is the perfect spot. Wind down the day against the beautiful backdrop of the cathedral! The concerts on the Open Space stage—jazz, classical, singer-songwriters—take place at 5:30 p.m.
This Thursday: Pinnowation
Pinnowation is a jazz quartet led by Bremen-based pianist and composer Moritz Pinnow. The focus is on his original, versatile compositions, which blend a tradition-conscious jazz language with modern timbres, driving grooves, and lyrical depth. The result is a sound that bridges the gap between the club and the concert hall.
Pinnow’s pieces bring together complex harmonies and clear, singable melodies. The quartet uses these as a canvas for subtle dynamics, spontaneous reactions, and collective improvisation.
Joining him are Frederik Palupski on drums, André Kluth on bass, and Rostyslav Voitko on tenor saxophone. Together, they develop a flexible interplay between quiet, almost chamber-music-like moments and powerfully grooving passages.
Live, Pinnowation thrives on the communication on stage. The music stays in motion, changes direction, and draws the audience in—sometimes quiet and intimate, sometimes open and energetic.
