BRSO mit Zubin Mehta & Rudolf Buchbinder

This concert is more than just a program - it is the encounter of two life's work: Zubin Mehta, whose conducting has been characterized by foresight, warmth and sovereign sound architecture for decades, and Rudolf Buchbinder, whose piano playing is imbued with lightness, virtuosity and profound knowledge of the work. Wagner's Rienzi Overture begins with a heroic and political gesture. Beethoven's Third Piano Concerto develops into a dramatic, darkly grounded oscillation between soloist and orchestra. And with Strauss' Also sprach Zarathustra, the path finally leads to the cosmic: musical thinking between man and the world.

With this special concert, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra celebrates two artists who not only interpret music, but live it.
