Book premiere in Cologne: Katrin Schuhen on the protection of water, our most important resource

On 28.10.2024, 7 pm, SCORPIO VERLAG invites you to the premiere of "Rebellin des Wassers". The author, Dr. Katrin Schuhen, and her book team will present the recently published work in conversation with presenter Janine Steeger.

"Rebelin des Wassers - Wie wir unser kostbarstes Lebensmittel retten" tells of the ever-increasing threat to the global water sphere, which is primarily due to climate change and chemical pollution. But it is also about the many solutions we can use to help our water - including an invention by the author herself. With her EU-funded technology, which has now won several awards, chemist Schuhen has declared war on the microplastics and micropollutants that can be found everywhere in water. In the book and at the premiere evening, she not only presents her innovation and explains how she became a water activist, but also describes how we can protect the water - and therefore ourselves - from further pollution every day.

She is a chemist. She has already received the Next Economy Award from the German Sustainability Award Foundation, the Baden-Württemberg Innovation Award and the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label for her start-up "Wasser 3.0", which was founded in 2020. She lives and works in Karlsruhe.
