In 2025, John Sykes published his city walk on Jewish life in Cologne. It takes you through centuries of Jewish history - from Roman times through the Middle Ages to the present day. It invites you to rediscover familiar places and make hidden testimonies visible. In addition to historical backgrounds and personal stories, it also focuses on today's Jewish culture in Cologne. A book against forgetting and for a diverse culture of remembrance.

On the city walk, John Sykes will present selected places and topics and discuss them in depth with Dr. Christiane Twiehaus: from the new work of art for Cologne Cathedral, diverse biographies and Jewish life today.
