Café Istanbul

Café Istanbul is opening its doors again for a cozy and varied afternoon and evening. Sample hot and cold culinary delights and drinks for a small donation. Meet up with friends or make new ones. Play a few rounds of backgammon or simply enjoy the sound and atmosphere.

As a musical treat, there will be a live performance by Turkish artist Güldeste. The musician, who has been living in Germany for over 8 years, will be giving samples of her new solo project. During and after her music studies, Güldeste worked for various projects and jobs throughout Germany. She is not only trained on the violin and piano. The versatile musician knows how to sensitively enhance classical instruments with electronic elements.

Café Istanbul is a place to come together, get to know each other and exchange ideas with post-migrant, inter- and transcultural aspects.

Café Istanbul offers space for diverse migrant content and new ideas that have previously received little space and attention. It breaks through culturally one-dimensional structures and invites people without migrant identities in particular to participate - hello dear Almans, you are in demand!

Café Istanbul offers a safe space for networking, mutual strength, respect and community building for people with diverse hybrid migrant identities.

Music is a key element of all süperdisko (incl. Café Istanbul) events. The selection of musicians and artists reflects post-migrant, inter- and transcultural aspects of society.
