Cas Public. Compagnie de Danse (CAN)

Beethoven composed his Ninth Symphony when he was almost completely deaf. The dancer Cai Glover is hard of hearing; on stage, he deliberately dances alongside hearing dancers without his hearing implant. What do our senses—or their absence—reveal to us about our lives in the world, and more importantly, how can they help us bridge our differences?

The Cas Public company, Hélène Blackburn, and Cai Glover from Québec, Canada, immerse themselves in Beethoven’s breathtaking masterpiece and, through their choreography, create a space that invites reflection on perception, language, and diversity.

This unique dance piece is touring Germany for the first time and will also be performing at the Forum Leverkusen!
