CAVA (Garage, Berlin)

CAVA like sparkling wine, garage and punk. Dirty guitar riffs, a lot of feedback and melodic vocals may not be missing. But as rough as their music may sound behind the hard shell is a soft core. The garage duo released their debut album Damage Control in March 2023, almost two years after their formation. As the title suggests, it is about nothing less than to fight through life and its everyday hurdles as unscathed as possible. In the twelve songs, the two deal with topics such as the search for affection, pain, depression and life (and death) in capitalism. In doing so, they illustrate how a society that is unable or unwilling to think outside of existing categories affects one's well-being as well as interpersonal relationships. CAVA and they make no secret of it dream of a better world.
