Chanson-atelier : Chor-Workshop des Instituts

Since January 2016, the Chanson Workshop at the Institut français has become a regular and popular event. Rediscover your voice and embark on an exciting journey into the fascinating world of French chanson. Singer and choir director Thomas Streit invites you to discover and sing a selection of chansons (from Charles Aznavour, Barbara, Gilbert Becaud, and others, all the way to ZAZ).

After a vocal warm-up, each chanson will be briefly introduced and then sung together with piano accompaniment. No knowledge of music notation is required—just a love of singing and a curiosity to discover lesser-known chansons and rediscover familiar ones. Former participants, newcomers, and music lovers are all warmly invited!
